David Kendal’s Weblog
A Damn Fine Web Publication
Introduction
Hi, I’m David Kendal. Here I write about a bunch of stuff, like typography, the Web, and Apple computers (the Macintosh and iPad). I also link to articles about these things elsewhere on the web.
When I’m not doing that, I program in unusual languages and also some not so unusual ones. I host a podcast with another Mac nerd about older computers. I also play the piano and can make a bit of a noise with a French horn.
As of this writing, my favourite monospaced font is Monaco 10 without anti-aliasing. I also enjoy Gill Sans and Baskerville when I’m not programming, and just about every font of Hoefler & Frere-Jones. I want to learn to design fonts myself one day, and I’d like to give the Fell Types a serious revival once I’m good enough at it.
I live near the town of Clitheroe in Lancashire, England with my family. I’m currently studying for my A-level qualifications.
